TA Fellow Program for Center for Teaching and Learning at GT
Updated: Mar 18, 2018
Georgia Tech’s Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) seeks motivated graduate students to work as Teaching Assistant (TA) Fellows. This is an outstanding opportunity for any graduate student considering a faculty or teaching career who seeks opportunities to learn more about teaching and learning and to gain experience in presenting and facilitating.
The TA Fellows are responsible for developing an engaging TA Orientation for new TAs. We cover the boring but important legalese of GT policies and procedure (academic integrity, student privacy, etc.) and the more varied roles and responsibilities (grading, running labs, teaching lectures, etc.). We use active learning methods like jigsaw and gallery walks to demonstrate activities that TAs could incorporate in their own classroom.
